The Legend of Zelda IV: Link's Awakening
The Legend of Zelda IV: Link's Awakening marked the first appearance of Link on the Handheld console. It was rekeased only a few years after Link's huge success in "A Link To The Past" which had gone on to become the most popular Super NES game out there. This game took a break from the usual Zelda storyline and was a sequal to his Super NES hit. Insteas of his usual aedventures this game foudn Link on a ship heading back to Hyrule after a journey in a distant land, when he is nearly home a storm breaks and he is shipwrecked on the uncharted island of Koholint. The game may have had nothing to do with Zelda, The Triforce or Gannon and it's graphics and gameplay [the Gameplay was fairly similar to the original Zelda] may have been a step lower than his SNES quest, but "Link's Awakening" became an instant success and ended up becoming on of the five best selling Game Boy games of al time.
