Graphics=9.4
For the Super NES. the graphics were superb for their time. Released just a year after Final Fantasy IV, the map graphics and character raphics are nearly identical to it's procedeer.

Sound=9.7
The music is exactly what you'd expect from a Square Soft game. I have to admit that I think the music on FF4 and FF6 was better but that "Mamba De Chocobo song" is a neat twist on the classical Chocobo theme.

Play Control=9.5
Exactly the same as on FF4 and FF6. Easy to learn and easy to use. No real changes here. On the PSX version they use the exact same controls as FF8.

Specials, Inginuity, and Replay=8.9
A great idea that has only appeared in one other game [FF3 for the NES]. Letting you chose Job classes and then change them whiel gainign AP fto learn abilities specifically for that job calss. An even better setup than FF9.

Challenge=7.8 Difficult Level
The game has a few tough boss battles here and there but if you've beaten an Final Fantasy game before, then you'll have no trouble beating this one, just make sure to build your levels up and you'll have no problem.

Overall=9.4
Okay I have to admit that I didn't think it was nearly as good as FF4 or 6. but if you liek the older style of Final Fantasy games then this is a must have, or at least a must play.

If you liked this game try:
1. Final Fantasy IV
2. Final Fantasy VI
3. Final Fantasy IX
4. Ultima : Exodous
5. Dragon Warrior III
