FF8 is quite possibly one of the best RPG's ever. It took me 86 hours to beat! After Square's booming sucess of FF 7, they spent two years planning a sequal and making it everything 7 was and more. They added several new systems as well:
1. The new magic [Drawing] system
2. The new GF/ summon monster system.
3.Did away with equipment.
4.Added junctioning.
Some of these systems in my opinion are great[GF, Junction] others are okay [Draw system], and others I hate[ No equipment but weapons].
