Preview: It has been 100 years since the nuclear war, which nearly destoyed the planet. After this war magic has reappeared and the four magicians have forged four mighty swords which when united will bring the power needed to destroy all evil. You are a young man that has been trapped in suspended animation for the past 100 years, you awaken to realize that the four magicians have chosen you to be the hero that will unite the four swords into the sword of Crystalis and destory Dragonia, a vicious demon emporor.

Graphics=8.9
The new cinema scenes in the GBC version are outstanding for Game Boy graphics and the normal graphics are nice, clear and colorful on the Game Boy or NES.

Sound=8.5
The sound is the same in both versions of the game, and is typical of an NES or Game Boy game, fairly good, but definatly not Final Fantasy or Lufia quality music.

Play Control=8.7
Very quick and easy, which is uncommon for Game Boy RPG's the only thing that takes getting used to is using the SELECT button to bring up the menu screen.

Specials, Inginuity, and Replay=8.1
The game is full with inginuity and was one of the first action RPGs fo the NES, some elements were even copied by Square in the Secret Of Mana games [like powering up your weapons], not much replay value, though.

Challenge=7.0=Difficult Level
The game has some bosses that are quite tough indeed, but once you get the Warrior Ring, and Barrier spell it is possible to beat bosses without losing a single Hp.

Overall=8.6
Despite it's relatively short length and it's lack of difficulty this game is an action RPG worth getting, whether it's the original for the NES or the new version for GBC.
