Graphics=9.0
The map graphics are typical for early NES games [although tye're a bit dissapointing for the GBC], the monster graphics in battle however were ahead of their time.

Sound=8.8
The sound effects are pretty good quality and the music fits perfectly for this kind of middle ages RPG. From the lonely flute-liek melody that you hear on the map to the Final Fantasy-ish battle music.

Play Control=8.0
The play control is good enough. It uses the typical setup for the controls and is easy to get used to. The only thing that is a bit annoying is having to call up th menu screen in order to go up and down stairs.

Specials, Inginuity, and Replay=8.0
This game was the first RPG video game [besides Zelda] to ever hit America, so it gets credit just for being a first, becuase it's hard to be original when your one of the first of you kind.

Challenge=8.5=Difficult Level
This game can be pretty darn tough, the majority of it is spent just buliding your levels up so you stand a chance against the tougher enemies. Or in other words some enemies can wipe you out easily in three or less hits.

Overall=8.45
Okay this game is a classic. It may not have been too long or have deep characters or any cool innovative features, but itwas one of the first ever RPG video games. It's a great game that any true RPG gamer should have
