Final Fantasy 7 Review
Final Fantasy 7Released in September, 1997 [U.S.] 3 CD's [Playstation] Memory card save Analog Compatible Dual Shock Compatible: No Approx. Playing Time: 60 hours Beaten: No Preview: Final Fantasy 7 takes place at the year 1999, so despite it's futuristic look it actually now takes place in the past. A company, Shinra which actually is pretty much the government has Mako reactors which sucks Mako, the earth's life energy [called Mana in other games] and converts it into a sort of fossil fuel. Because of these reactors the earth is slowly but surely dying AVALANCHE a small rebel group is set on destroying Shinra, you are Cloud a mercenary hired by AVALANCHE to help them on a mission to destroy a reactor. Note:Difficulty has no outcome on the game's final grade. Graphics: 8.8 The cinema graphics are a 10.0 even though FF8's are a bit better, the normal graphics though are pretty small and polygonal and not very dtailed at all the backgrounds are very good though. Sound: 9.5 The sound especially the music is great which is typical for a squaresoft game. The music though isn't as good or memorable as past FF games such as 4,5,and 6. Play control:9.6 The play contol is very good just like FF8's however the contols are the same as previous FF games rather than like FF8's where the controls were pretty much reversed. Specials, Inginuity, and Replay:8.0 There are several new systems introduced in FF7, mainly the new Limit Breaker and Materia systems as well as the whole Sci-Fi aspect, there are also a lot of side-quests to go on. Challenge:8.0 = Advanced Level The game won't be too tough for experts or anyone who has played or beaten any other FF games but still puts up a challenge, this isn't the best game d for begginers though. Overall:8.9 = B+ The game is good and worth buying even with its futuristic setting, the game in my opinion though just doesn't seem to belong in the Final Fntasy series. If you liked this game try: 1.Final Fantasy 4 2.Final Fantasy 5 3.Final Fantasy 6 4.Final Fantasy 8 5.Breath Of Fire 3 |
